Moving up to secondary school in September 2026

Between 2 September and midnight on 31 October 2025, you can apply for your child's secondary school place for entry to Year 7, in September 2026.

You will also be able to view and respond to the outcome of your application on 2 March 2026.

Late Transfer to Grammar School – Years 8 & 9 in September 2026

If you would like your child to take part in the Late Transfer Process for possible entry to Year 8 or Year 9 in certain Buckinghamshire grammar schools in September 2026 you can apply from 6 October. The closing date for applications is 17 October 2025.

Starting School or Moving up to Junior School in September 2026

From 4 November you will be able to apply for a primary school place if your child is due to start school or move up to junior school in September 2026.

If your child has an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan, please only select the option to upload your evidence. You do not need to make an application.
