Before requesting an Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA), professionals should ensure that available support pathways have been explored. SEND Support offers are available without an EHCP and can be accessed at any stage, including before an EHCNA request, during assessment and while awaiting a decision or final EHCP.
